Looking for a day of discovery and friendly connections? The Polyglot Club community invites you to an unforgettable getaway on Saturday, November 7, 2026.
Discover Arles, a historic city with Roman monuments listed as UNESCO World Heritage sites, then be amazed by the Pont du Gard, a masterpiece of Roman engineering, with museum access included for a full immersive experience.
This excursion will be conducted in both French and English by your polyglot tour leader.
PROGRAM
1. Departure from Marseille
Meeting point: Right next to the Saint-Charles train station, near the entrance of the Faculty of Sciences Saint-Charles (Place Victor Hugo).

3. Morning and Lunch in Arles
Start your day in Arles, a city rich in history and culture. Stroll through its cobblestone streets, charming squares, and iconic landmarks such as the amphitheater and ancient theater, both UNESCO World Heritage sites. Take your time to explore local shops and soak in the unique ambiance of this Provençal gem.
For lunch, enjoy a meal at one of the many restaurants offering local specialties, such as bull stew (*gardiane de taureau*) or Mediterranean dishes. Alternatively, bring your own picnic and find a scenic spot to enjoy a relaxed outdoor meal.
4. Afternoon at the Pont du Gard
In the afternoon, head to the must-see Pont du Gard, a marvel of Roman engineering and a masterpiece listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. This magnificent aqueduct, over 2,000 years old, stands proudly amidst a breathtaking natural landscape.
Explore the nearby trails that offer panoramic views of the aqueduct and the Gardon River. Immerse yourself in the fascinating history of this monument while soaking in the tranquility of the surroundings. Alternatively, find a quiet spot to relax, admire the view, or capture some unforgettable photos.
This visit to the Pont du Gard is a unique experience combining culture, nature, and relaxation, all within a spectacular setting that will leave a lasting impression.

At the Museum, you will discover the origins of the Pont and the importance of water in Roman lifestyle through several scenes of daily life. Late Arrival
We reserve the right to refuse participation to individuals arriving late for the first departure of the bus at the meeting point.
Non-Payment
We also reserve the right to refuse participation to individuals who have not paid the balance before the bus departs.
Participation of People with Disabilities
To ensure the safety and well-being of all our participants, we recommend that people with disabilities be accompanied by a support person throughout the excursion. Your safety is our priority, and by informing us in advance of your specific needs, we can ensure the best possible experience for you. If participation is not possible for safety reasons, a full refund will be offered.
Participation of Minors
Minor children must be accompanied by their parents, legal representatives, or guardians to participate. No waiver can be signed by our guides. If a minor arrives alone, we will not be able to allow their participation in the excursion, and a full refund will be offered.
