Looking for a day of escape, discovery, and friendly connections? The Polyglot Club community invites you to an unforgettable getaway on Saturday, May 30, 2026.
Set off to discover some of Provence’s most iconic treasures: the charming village of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, a major source of inspiration for Van Gogh and a symbol of authentic Provence, followed by Les Baux-de-Provence, one of the most beautiful villages in France, perched in the heart of the Alpilles. The day continues with a visit to the famous Carrières de Lumières, where monumental sound and light projections create a unique immersive art experience.
This trip is a perfect opportunity to combine nature, history, culture, and relaxation, while sharing warm moments with an open and passionate community. An experience not to be missed.
This excursion will be conducted in both French and English by your polyglot tour leader.
PROGRAM
1. Departure from Marseille
Meeting point right next to Saint-Charles train station, near the entrance of the Saint-Charles Faculty of Science (Place Victor Hugo).

2. Pick-up in Aix-en-Provence

3. Morning and lunch in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence
Start the day in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, a charming Provençal village nestled in the heart of the Alpilles. Surrounded by iconic landscapes of cypress trees and olive groves, it captivates visitors with its authentic and peaceful atmosphere.
Follow in the footsteps of Van Gogh thanks to a walking trail illustrated with reproductions of his works painted in the region, then enjoy free time strolling through the lively streets filled with artisan shops, art galleries, and shaded squares.
Optional visits include the ancient Roman site of Glanum, a remarkable archaeological complex, or the Alpilles Museum to better understand local history and traditions.
For lunch, choose one of the many restaurants in the village offering delicious Provençal cuisine, or opt for a picnic in a pleasant green setting.
4. Afternoon in Les Baux-de-Provence and the Carrières de Lumières
In the afternoon, head to Les Baux-de-Provence, one of the most beautiful villages in France, perched on a rocky outcrop in the heart of the Alpilles. Wander through its medieval streets, admire the stone houses, and enjoy spectacular panoramic views over the surrounding countryside.
Do not miss a visit to the Carrières de Lumières, a unique site where former stone quarries host monumental immersive exhibitions. Sound and light projections transform the quarry walls into true works of art, offering an unforgettable cultural and sensory experience.
Free time to enjoy the village, take photos, or relax before the return journey.
5. Drop-off in Aix-en-Provence

Non-Payment
We also reserve the right to refuse participation to individuals who have not paid the balance before the bus departs.
Participation of People with Disabilities

Your safety is our priority, and by informing us in advance of your specific needs, we can ensure the best possible experience for you. If participation is not possible for safety reasons, a full refund will be offered.
Participation of Minors
Minor children must be accompanied by their parents, legal representatives, or guardians to participate. No waiver can be signed by our guides. If a minor arrives alone, we will not be able to allow their participation in the excursion, and a full refund will be offered.
