Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer in Summer, Optional River Cruise
Polyglot Club is pleased to invite you to a beautiful summer getaway in Camargue on Sunday, August 9, 2026, discovering Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer and the wild landscapes of the Petit Rhône.
Let yourself be charmed by the unique atmosphere of this emblematic Camargue village, especially enjoyable in the summer: long sandy beaches, lively streets, sunny terraces and an impressive fortified Romanesque church overlooking the sea. This day is perfect for strolling around, relaxing by the water, enjoying a refreshing swim or tasting local cuisine.
To complete the experience, you will have the option to join a river cruise on the Petit Rhône. This peaceful and shaded boat trip is ideal in summer and offers a different perspective on Camargue, gliding along the river among horses, bulls, flamingos and preserved natural landscapes.
A Polyglot Club tour leader will be present throughout the day, providing practical information and guidance in both French and English, in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
PROGRAM – SATURDAY, AUGUST 9
1. Departure from Marseille
Meeting point next to Saint-Charles train station, near the entrance of the Saint-Charles Faculty of Sciences (Place Victor Hugo).

Meeting at 7:15 am – Departure at 7:30 am sharp (late arrivals cannot be waited for).
2. Pick-up in Aix-en-Provence
Avenue Henri Mouret, next to the Partouche Casino.
Meeting at 7:45 am – Departure at 8:00 am sharp (late arrivals cannot be waited for).
3. Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer – Summer exploration (approximately 3 hours)
Head to Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, one of the most iconic seaside towns in Camargue, especially lively during the summer season.
Enjoy free time to experience the best of summer in Camargue:
- Walk along the sandy beaches or explore the village center
- Relax by the sea or enjoy a refreshing swim
- Visit the fortified Romanesque church
- Free lunch: restaurant, snack or picnic on the beach according to your preference
4. Petit Rhône river cruise (optional)
Around midday, enjoy a peaceful and shaded river cruise on the Petit Rhône, an ideal activity in summer to discover Camargue effortlessly and away from the heat.
Along the water, discover Camargue’s landscapes, horses, bulls and flamingos, with commentary about local wildlife, flora and traditions.

Late Arrival

Non-Payment
We also reserve the right to refuse participation to individuals who have not paid the balance before the bus departs.
Participation of People with Disabilities
To ensure the safety and well-being of all our participants, we recommend that people with disabilities be accompanied by a support person throughout the excursion. Your safety is our priority, and by informing us in advance of your specific needs, we can ensure the best possible experience for you. If participation is not possible for safety reasons, a full refund will be offered.
Participation of Minors
Minor children must be accompanied by their parents, legal representatives, or guardians to participate. No waiver can be signed by our guides. If a minor arrives alone, we will not be able to allow their participation in the excursion, and a full refund will be offered.
