Giving props was originally intended to
thank another Study Room user who was
helpful to you.
To give props to someone,
click their name in the chat, or open their
profile page, then click the
Give Props button. The message "You gave (user name) props" will be displayed in the chat. Bear in mind that the number of props you can give during one day is limited.
On Sundays, the user who has received the highest number of props during the past week gets the status of "
Student of the Week". Their picture and name are posted on the bottom right of the Room Stream.
On a user's profile, you can see the total number of props that user received since s/he joined Study Room. However, you can't see how many props she received since the beginning of the week, nor how many props she gave. Same applies to your own profile as you can view it.
