I think that December is the best month in the year.
Here are just a few of the reasons I love December and this time of year...
First of all It always has the best snow.
The snow is perfectly fluffy, which makes it great for sledding and snowballs, but it also adorns entire neighborhoods in beautiful blankets of white.
It’s the Golden Age of winter.
There are a ton of holidays to celebrate in the months of December.
So that is why it's known as the holiday season.
Winter solstice is the beginning of winter.
It's also the shortest day of the year.
Because of the earth's tilt, the Northern Hemisphere is as far away from the sun as it can be.
Therefore, the first day of winter has the shortest amount of sunlight.
In 2013, the winter solstice falls on December 21st.
Christmas is a special and holy time to celebrate the birth and life of Jesus Christ.
The celebration of the New Year is the oldest of all holidays.
It was first observed in Ancient Babylon about 4,000 years ago. And cookies...
Baking cookies every other day is entirely acceptable, if not encouraged. The fact.
