Every autumn, seeing leaves falling, I remember my first day at school when I was six years old.
That was a cold, foggy morning.
My mother took my hand, walking along the village road.
On the trees, birds were singing.
On the sky, there were silver clouds.
The sun was rising from the mountains.
A new day, a new period of my life.
I was eager and a little worry.
I'd like to meet teachers and new friends, to discover the school.
However, it was something too strange for me.
So, i was anxious a bit.
After one hour walking, we reached the school.
My mother smiled at me and went back home while I was stepping through the entrance.
At that time, I was really scared.
That was the first time I was in a world so strange with strange people.
I cried loudly, just wanted to go back with my mother but the entrance of school was closed.
Suddenly, someone patted on my shoulder which startled me.
I swung around and saw a woman with a gentle face smiling at me.
Her kind eyes made me calm.
I smiled at her then she took me into my class.
It turned out that she was my head teacher.
