Transparency and trust, this is the promise of BBC for the televiewers.

And for obtaining the first one and for reconquering the second one, there is the brilliant idea of showing publicly the TV stars’ salaries.

Well, after the strategy of the Italian RAI to show anchors’ costs and salaries during the end credits of the program and the thousands of bitter disputes that this decision has originated, also the British TV has chosen a similar decision, that it has been announced by Sir Michael Lyons, President of BBC Trust (the BBC govern system that was independent from its management) during a speech in front of “Voice of the Listener and Viewer”, which it represents the listeners.

“We have to show the names from BBC, who earn the most”, said Sir Michael, “and for that we are convincing the General director Mark Thompson to prepare a plan for the best transparency as soon as possible, preventing the public that could consider us spendthrifts.

Obviously, I know that it is not going to be a simple solution, because of lot of stars are working for independent producers.
