It is a trend that companies and factories are encouraged to turn to some suburb area.

In my opinion, this change has both positive and negative sides.

If companies shift to small towns, they are more likely to recruit local residents as employees to meet their requitement of workforce, generating more job opportunities for the community.

An increasing number of local people work in factories and companies rather than living by farming, which can not only boost inhabitants’ living standards but also boot the local economic growth.

This would help to close the rural-urban divide.

On the other hand, this transfer would pose a threat to the local environment.

To settle the arrivals of giant companies, many new buildings and factories must be built and they may ruin the local landscape.

The usage of all forms of transportation such as cars trucks and trains also increases to satisfy the need of goods’ delivery and people’s commuting.

This means more exhaust fumes would be generated, having an adven effect on the environment.

Another problem is that the population mobility has a negative impact on the community life.

The residents may leave their communities to work and the local economic prosperity may provide people with the opportunity to get access to more entertainment places, such as malls, parks and cinemas.

Although these changes give people a wider scope of freedom, they would find that their way of life have been changed and no longer have a sense of community.
