The charts demonstrate the number of Japanese travelled to foreign countries as tourists from 1985 to 1959, and the proportion of them who travelled particularly to Australia in same decade.

The bar graph shows that the number of Japanese travelled abroad was 5 million in 1985, and it increased dramatically to reach 15 million people in 95 as three times as more travellers.

Although it was a noticeable fluctuation from 1991 to 1993 but it continued to increase in 1994.

The line graph illustrates the Australia’s shares of Japan’s tourist market also in these ten years .

The percentage of Japanese visitors was 2 in 1985 and it increased by 5% in 1989.

However, it dropped slightly to 4.2% in 1990 an it recovered to reach the peak of around 6.1% in 1994.

In conclusion, there is a correlation between two graphs that the Australia’s share of Japan’s tourist market increased as long as the number of Japanese was travelling abroad grown.
