At the first stage of the new wave of electromobility, many actors considering all governmental incentives and the various ambitious of carmakers and the other concerned actors, have actually developed some high expectations regarding the market penetration’s speed of the EVs.

But after a while, observing the repetitive delays of commercialization and some other problems, the general expectation on EVs has reduced.

I believe, the whole ecosystem is still well on the way to achieve its goal, a massive developpement of EVs.

We should keep going and avoid any unrealistic expectation which could hurt considerably the progress of the system.

The conclusions of all observations in France is the same: the EVs development is still very fragile and need to be supported intelligently, under a well-structured program and need a more intensive cooperation of all concerned stakeholders.

The BEVs still remain the first option of the French market but some few niche market are also identified for the REEVs.

The emerging EVs system in France is too dynamic which represent many actors and carmakers.

We can still expect the arrival of the other actors such as Tesla motors or even Chinese carmakers, so there is no final and the only one market option.
