I think one of the nurse's role is the nurses helps maintain a safe environment for clients and take measures to prevent accidents and to protect clients from possible unwanted effects of a diagnostic or treatment measures .

For example from a nurse as protector is make sure that the clients does not have any allergies to medications.

Before the nurse give any medications to the clients, the nurse should becareful because it involves the person's life and also before medications given to the client thenurse should do 12 correct principles that: 1.correct medications, 2. correct clients, 3. correct dose of the medications, 4. correct timming of giving, 5. correct mode of administration , 6. correct documentations, 7. correct health education about medications client, 8. client's right to refuse , 9. correct assessment of TTV (vital signs) before medications given, 10. correct evaluation, 11. correct reaction to foods, 12. correct reactions with other medications.
