I like reading very much.
At the present time I don't read a lot, but before, when I was younger I read much more.
My favorite books are:
Isaac Asimov's stories about the robots.
Asimov portrays them as intellectual creations with feelings and dreams.
Stories and novels about Sherlock Holmes.
I like more those ones where action takes place on the nature, in the countryside.
"Divine Comedy".
I read a "Hell" in two different Russian translations.
That was awesome.
I'm looking forward to read it in English.
Lovecraft's books.
He is a master of the horror genre.
Books by Jack London.
"Call of the Wild" and "Martin Eden".
I would call these books "changing the consciousness".
From Russian books I would recommend anyone to read "Roadside Picnic" by Strugatski brothers.
Last book I have read is "Memories of War" by N. Nikulin.
I read it on-line.
We have several big bookcases in our house, but I think it's much more convenient to have all the books you want in your computer or laptop.
I also remember that I read Erich Remark, James Hadley Chase, Stevenson,
Sabatini, Christie, Twain, Lem.
And a lot of others. P.S.
It's a pity that the verb "read" have the same form for all the tenses
