First of all people want value for money of goods they buy.
People choose one or another branded product because they sure that it's top of the range.
Of course if you buy a branded product it's a guarantee that the quality is good and the product is reliable.
Such products are usually stylish and well-made.
This is another reason why people buy branded products.
So they attract attention buying something luxurious and fashionable.
They want to impress other people.
But on the other hand never know are you buying the genuine product or an illegal copy.
I’m basically pro brands but without fanaticism.
If there is inexpensive but quality alternative I choose it.
