Today I've witnessed a good city story.
Three men dressed in a janitor's uniform sat on the low fence of the front garden.
In front of them there was a parking begirted with a wire mesh.
And near the mesh the fourth man hunkered. - Hey guys!
- he said suddanly - Look here, it's the bird's nest!
His workmates stood up in a moment and appeared by him.
All of them looked throug the mesh at the line of untouched grass and young tiny shrubs.
There, dangerously close to cars and it's weels, was the nest, maden between three strong sprigs of willow herb.
- Wow, the real nest, and in such a bad place...
- Yeah, it should be a young silly bird...
- They'll crush her. All that cars. - Yes. - Yes.
They stood still a bit, have staring on the nest and scratching their unshaven chins.
- I saw a few bricks near the shop - said the youngest finaly.
- We can make a border to protect her.
And they have done it.
Three men went to the parking, and one stood opposit the nest for they can't loose the place.
In a few minutes three men and the parking keeper has appeared from the other side of the mesh.
They dropped bricks in the grass and made a border. - Look, guys.
It's the giirl's car.
And it's close to the nest.
- said the keeper.
- You know, how girls drives.
She can move back insted of moving forward...
- Let's move the car a bit. - Yes.
- Ok.
- Let's do it.
Four men reverted the car a little.
And then they went away and waited, because the bird, frightened by sounds and actions, was gone.
After a few minutes the bird has reterned.
Men looked to each other and smiled.
- OK, the break's ended.
It's time to work, guys! They've gone.
And left the nest with hesitated but protected little bird.
