It is believed that a successful person is goal-oriented as well as hard working.

However, some people think that this is not so important with the right connections and efficiently applying resources such as money.

In this essay I am going to discuss both points of view and give the my opinion about why working hard is not enough to get success.

On the one hand, an assertive person, who spends all their time to achieve a certain goal, is likely to get a promotion, because their behaviour has showed their boss that they are responsible and can get things done on time.

For instance, this type of people spend all their time at work, they even work on holidays and sometimes on the weekends.

Of course they have as much more money as and less time to spend it.

On the other hand, a really successful people are the bosses or owners of companies , where the people from the example above work, and they are completely different from their employees.

First of all they have the right connections who help to solve problems in their business and make money more efficiently.

Secondly, they have enough money to hire the professionals who will make money for them.

For example, this kind of people, who hire better workers and have connections, have a lot of money as well as time to spend it to make their dreams come true.

To sum up, I agree with opinion that working smart is much better than working hard, because those people have more money and more free-time.
