Guayaquil is the commercial center of my country, it’s the second most important city of Ecuador, it has got the main maritime port and it has got a population at about 2.6 millions.
This city also has got a river called Río Guayas, it’s got at about 30 kilometers.
Usually people here start work at 8 o’clock am, overall state institutions; and they finish at about 5 o’clock pm; cafés and restaurants open at 6 or 7 am, some of them stay open all day from Monday to Saturday, on Sundays usually open later and close earlier; Commercial Centers open at about 9 am from Monday to Friday, at the weekends they start work at 10:30.
Here there are many shops and boutiques and also we have got a lot of super markets, popular markets and retailers where people can buy things or food in all prices; Guayaquil’s bars open at 5 pm, some of them are restaurants too where they stay open all day, others close at about 3 am; Pubs open at 6 pm and close 3 or 4 am, usually people go to them on Fridays and Saturdays or when Ecuadorian´s Football team plays.
Workers usually eat out at the lunch time, most people prefer having lunch than eat snacks.
Here, young people usually live in flats or they live with their parents.
From Monday to Friday and from 8 to 9:30 am, roads are crowded, mainly the Avenues and the center city, the traffic here is terrible, but our city has many access (routes/roads/paths) that help to the decongestion of the city, our roads are (wider/larger) than others cities of Ecuador.
