Great number of different animals had already battled with each other when a large Indian elephant was led out to the arena.
There was a little turret with four bow gunners.
The (a) of an elephant was a royal tiger unusually great and nice named after the prince of darkness Ariman.
Gunners sent an arrow after arrow to irritate it.
The tiger sat all shrunk (shrunk all over) glazing with it's eyes and wailing with it's tail.
It's seemed like it had made(taken) a decision to enter the combat.
But here an arrow touched its muzzle.
A horrible roar was heard.
For some time Ariman whipped the sand with its tail.
Then it threw itself on the elephant's trunk in a great spring.
That one (elephant) in (its) turn howl of pain and bundling the tiger with its trunk raised and trew it to the ground it with such a strength that it seemed like it crushed tiger down to the death.
However, it wasn't this way.
In a minute Ariman raised himself flew up to the elephant's back and sank his teeth deeply into its throat.
Beside itself with pain, elephant tried to get rid of its enemy but in vain.
Its strength was decreasing, it began sinking to the floor.
And bow gunners were running away.
After Aramin took a short rest, a great lion named after the prince of light Ormuzd was led out to the arena.
People wanted to throw a live lamb to the beasts but it was not for princess Lindagul's eye (it was sight not for princess Lindagul) who had already got a pretty good look at those bloody sights.
She waved her hand: a little trebling trembling lamb was saved and a dead dog was thrown to the predators instead.
The hungry lion threw itself on the picking.
The tiger was full because it had drunk elephant's blood but envious by its nature it trew itself forward as well.
Ozmud and Ariman got engaged (in the fight) with each other, the prince of light and the prince of dark(ness).
All the environs echoed their awful roar, the sand whirled scattered by their paws and was being stained with their blood.
The conclusion of the battle was unknown for a long time, but finally the lion got on the top of the tiger and tore its chest.
Ariman was dead.
Ormuz was lwd out of the arena with triumph.
