Do you know kara-age?
Kara-age is a kind of fried chicken.
Most Japanese, especially children and men love kara-age.
It's easy to make kara-age.
All you need is chicken (thigh), garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sake (maybe water will do enough), potato starch (flour is also ok), and oil to fry.
First, cut the meat into bite-size pieces.
Put the meat into a plastic bag and put grinded garlic and ginger into the bag.
(If the meat is around 300g, put a tea spoonful of each.)
Add three spoonfuls (about 30 ml) of soy sauce and the equal amount of sake into the bag and knead the bag a little, for about 30 seconds.
Wait about 10 minutes to let the flavor soak into the meat.
Then, put four spoonfuls of potato starch into the bag and shake the bag for a while to toss potato starch with the meat well.
And finally, fry the meat until the surface turn brown, then making kara-age is completed!
The smell of ginger and soy sauce will make you eager to eat!
(Of course, it's delicious to eat!)
It's good for your lunch and dinner.
I came to want to eat them though it's almost 10 pm!
Try it out, please :-)
