High School in Brazil
- Here in Brazil people attend school until they are 17.
- Our high school is called 'ensino médio', and it lasts three years, from 15 to 17 years old.
- Students have a fixed curriculum, that is, they cannot opt or choose what to study.
- There is, in general, 30-35 classes a week (each clas lasting 50 minutes) on the following subjects: Portuguese, Maths, History, Biology, Geography, Chemistry, Physics, English, Spanish, Philosophy, Sociology, Arts and Physical Education (PE).
- They cannot study Economics or IT at High School.
- In the US, students hav e driving lessons at school (what is the name of this subject?), but in Brazil they do not study it, since here you are just allowed to drive when you are 18.
- I'd like to know more about the educational system in other countries.
- If you'd like to talk a little more about it, my email is ingles.erick@gmail.com
