Dear Mary,
Great to hear from you.
I hope you are fine.
I have an exciting news to share with you.
This summer was very eventful for me.
At first, I have improve my English by visiting the linguistic camp.
It was very interesting.
Secondly, I have visited my granny, who lives in Moscow.
But the most important thing is that I was lucky enough to be invited to the WOMAD festival, which took place in Bristol Zoo in the UK.
The opening of the fest was held on 22-nd of July.
I went there with my best friend Natasha and with her father.
I must say that it was a great opportunity to listen to talented singers and musicians as well as broaden my horizon.
We arrived to London on 21-st of July in the morning and spent some time there, enjoying the local sights.
After that we took a train to Bristol.
As we drifted away from London the weather has changed and fine rain has begun.
But still the weather was nice.
It was a warm summer day and the light summer brezze was blewing.
There were a lot of people in front of the zoo and in zoo itself.
Music lovers from all over the globe have come to enjoy the atmosphere of brotherhood.
It was really interesting to watch how people from different countries exchanging an impressions and their musical experience, swapping stories and just having a good time together.
There were many workshops, where children and adults learned songs and dances of different nations of the world.
There were also a lot of stalls, selling hand-crafted souvenirs and other goods.
But the most memorable event was the concert itself.
Musicians played music of different genres: soul, jazz, rock, funk and so on.
I liked the band of folk-rockers from Belgium.
They made an exiting performance.
When we left the WOMAD festival I felt sad, but, at the same time, it was wonderfull to take part in such a unique occasion, to understand cultures of other countries, through the enjoyment of music.
So, I got many wonderfull memories, that I'll cherish forever.
Write back soon.
Best of Luck,
Margaret.
