Dear Dr Tizio, I am Dr Caio a 47 year old, Italian agronomist from Pisa and I will come on a visit to India in Pondicherry where I will stay from January 11 until February 15 next for a cultural trip self-financed.

In Italy I am interested in wild plants for nutrition, as they are the promoter of an online project called BIOsCAMBIO, for non commercial and free exchange of seeds species and varieties at risk of genetic erosion; that in practice it is the community of self-producers / builder to self-sufficiency (family farming).

For now, the website is only in Italian, but the return of my trip to India, I intend to expand it in English and French.

I am very interested in the project IFAD globally coordinated by Biodiversity and I would like to start working as a volunteer in a countries in the developing French-speaking, because I don't have family and I am free to travel and work abroad.

Dr. Sempronio of Rome told me that your research center is a partner of the project and that you are very active about the “participatory variety selection”; is gave me your email address so I can contact you as the project manager in Chennai because, during my first albeit brief stay in India, I would like to meet you to know more in detail the project and to offer my collaboration as a volunteer in the area of Pondicherry during my stay if there is a chance.

Unfortunately I have little knowledge of English that I began to study only a short time ahead of the trip, but at least I speak French quite well.

Although I studied at the University of Pisa as a plant pathologist, however they are a supporter of family agriculture and the cultivation whit method bio-natural.

I visited your site-web and I saw now that it is very important in India and in other countries in the developing the cultivation and in situ conservation of wild plantsof NSU species and genetic improvement of traditional OGM free.
