  • A trip to Egypt

  • Last summer my boyfriend, two other friends and I went to Egypt.
  • We stayed in Hurghada for 7 days in the first september week and it was a very beautiful trip.
  • The purpose of our holiday was mainly to relax, go snorkelling but also to learn a new culture.
  • I found it very interesting how the people live in this country and we could see this particularly we mixed with the locals.
  • Our holiday was not eco-friendly because we were flying with the plane for a long time, but this was the only way how we could get to our hotel.
  • During our stay we made a boat trip which lasts the whole day and sometimes we have been taking a Taxi to drive into the city or to a shopping mall.
  • In my opinion this is also not very sustainable.
  • On the other side it had a positive impact for the local people because at the hotel, at the boat or at the shops were just working Egyptian.
  • I found it terrible how these people had to work and i think they really should improve the working conditions.
  • Lots of worker life from the tip.
  • I think I left a big size of the CO2 footprint but we could minimise negative impacts with little steps for example we choosed the hotel near the air port.
  • This is my plan what I would do also at my next holiday.
