The graph shows how the G7 group’s share of global GDP has differed over the period from 1980 to 2014 and provides a forecast of its changes by the year 2019.

Generally speaking the graph illustartes decreasing share of global GDP of G7 members against the rest of the world and predicts its further declining in the next 5 years.

However, the graph also tracks that it has been moving upward from 1980 and reached its initial level of 60% in 2005.

Thus, the share of G7 members in the global economy has decreased by more than 10% since 2005 and is this downward trend is expected to continue.

All in all the G7 share of global GDP is now declining and expected to decline in the next several years.

The sources of this trend can traced to the rice of emerging economies that are presented in the G20 and whose influence on the global economic processes is becoming more and more significant, signaling that this developing countries may further outperform idustrial nations.
