The Republic of Karelia is located in the northwest of Russia, between the basins of White and Baltic Seas.

There are about 27,000 rivers and 60.000 lake, that lapped round in woods, and 72 islands, most of them skattered across Lakes Ladoga and Oneg.

It is real paradise for people, who love wild nature and activity holidays.

There are a lot of hotels and tourist centre and near 4.000 cultural subjects.

In Karelia everybody find interesting things for self.

The Republic catch a people’s eye at any time, but in summer it is the incredible green miracle, that make heart missed a beat.

The Impenetrable forests, alive with sounds of bird’s music, the whitewater rivers, the outer islets, when there are longstanding charge, a lot of rare wild animals and, of course, a lot of legends about witches, shamans, heros of Kalevala, wondrous animals and spirits of nature.

This is The Karelia.

Or, rather, it is by one of the best party of this place.

In winter in Karelia people go skiing, go to campaign in forests or mountains.

In winter the republic become real ice tale.

Food is usual, but if you aren’t Russian, it will be interesting.

There are a lot of national viand with fish, blueberry, cloudberry, cranberry and etc. This national cuisine characterizes by big forest variety: berries, mushrooms, green.

In conclusion, I want to say, The Republic of Karelia is a amazing place!

It is islet of wild nature and ancient Russian and karel architecture, it is a margent of mystic legends and chimney-corner of old Russian towns.
