Text from Ronaldus - English

  • Papyrus

  • In antiquity, many people around Mediterranean Sea wrote over a kind of paper made from a plant called papyrus.
  • This writing support was so strong, so much so that the archaeologists still find papyri written in ancient times.
  • Egypt is the place more important for these discoveries, because this country has a very dry wheather allowing the conservation of papyrus.
  • Thanks to this, the Egyptian sands have returned us uknown texts that, little by little, complete our knoweldge of ancient cultures, especially, of Greek and Roman culture.
