The production of chocolate
Chocolate, something we are all familiar with due to its popularity and magnitude.
The essence of chocolate is of course cocoa beans.
Cocoa beans are harvested along the equator, but the bulk is grown in Western Africa.
It is commonly known, that it is merely a fraction of the compiled cocoa beans in the world, which are produced and traded fairly considering the farmers’ conditions.
Thousands of people are working under circumstances beyond the pale, yet their situation still leave them with no other choice.
This is probably one of the biggest reasons why such “chains of production” appear so clearly in the international society today.
