Korigjime

During the holidays, I went to Spain in the city of Bilbao who is situated in the North of Spain.

In this city I visited the Guggenheim Museum, it's a museum of modern art and contemporary art.

He was built in 1997 by the architect Frank Ghery.

Firstly, I liked the architecture of the building, it is only made of metal and there are big geometrical form.

In the entrance of the museum, there was a big spider who was around 8 meters tall made by the scupltor Louise Bourgeois, this work was very impressive.

Inside the museum, it was very modern, I saw masterpiece of Andy Warhol like « one hundred and fifty Marilyns », of Yves Klein like « foutain of fire » or of Richard Serra like « substance of the time ».

The work that held my attention the most is « Poppy » a big dog metal dog completely covered with pink, green, yellow, blue, purple, and yellow flowers.

This sculpture was 11 meters tall and she became the symbol of Bilbao.

This museum was very interesting for me because I love modern art and there was not only painting, there was too sculptures and installations.
