  • A Path to Consistency

  • A Path to Consistency in Attitudes Talent, intelligence, connections, money, and knowledge all suck.
  • Some of them you build, some you’re born with, but they all suck.
  • They all fade to a mighty quality like a mongolian yurt fades to AOE II Byzantins Wonder Hagia Sophia.
  • This quality comes from attitude. This quality you build, painfully, through the years.
  • And it doesn’t come with birth unlike golden spoons.
  • Ugly poor dumb people with no connections nor talent can still develop selfdiscipline. In fact, you could argue it’s easier for them to become selfdisciplined than it is for handsome, rich, intelligent, talented, cultivated and well connected guys.
  • It’s a matter of motivation, but we’ll go through that in another post.
  • Selfdisciplinemultiplies in a function where everything else sums.
  • Like S + H = ((T + I + C + M + K) X SD) / (Amount of Hours you spend playing LOL X times you whack off to internet porn a day) , where S is Success and H is Hapiness.
  • We all have different views on what Success is but Happiness is a common goal.
  • Selfdisciplinebuilds consistency. It develops skills and abilities through the learning process. It ticks stuff on the daily TO DO list.
  • Even being average at strategic planning,SDcan get you pretty much wherever you want to be.
  • So, where do you want to be in, say, 10 years? 5? 1? 6 months? Next month?
  • Did you think this over?
  • So, how do we build selfdiscipline?By putting effort and energy into it, to start with.
  • On my road to self development(it sounds like “self development” is the goal, when it actually is the road itself), this tool helped me, and it might help you too.
  • Do something new for thirty days in a row.
  • When I arrived to Madrid in February 2014, I decided to start 30 days challenging by taking at least one interesting picture a day.
  • Since I was looking for a flat and getting better at daygame,it wasn’t something revolutionary.
  • Nor it should be.
  • But it forced me to take a camera everywhere and be attentive to what was happening around me.
  • But the point is doing it, actually, for 30 days in a row.
  • No matter what.
  • Thanks for reading this & making it sound more native!
