In her article ‘Now, schools take aim at poor writers’ Solorzano, Lucia (1984) the writer is putting forward an opinion on an ineffective teaching English grammar and a high rate of an inaccuracy in students’ dissertations.
It is believed that the core of the problem is lacking compulsoriness in correct spelling and grammar.
It was also stated that mass media reveals us so much that inaccuracy in grammar and spelling is useless.
All age students were made to burnish their writing skills.
According to the most complex review there is a scant percentage of the time in schools is devoted to improve writing skills.
That study caused increase of written dissertations with trivializing the results of them.
Moreover, it is considered that checking each other’s papers is a way to encourage students to learn punctuation so that they can effectively express their thoughts.
There aren’t a significant number of teachers writing on a proficiency level.
Furthermore, the Bay Area Writing Project was implemented in order to help teachers, which became a great success.
Taking everything into consideration the students claim about writing but most of them find the Project useful and facultative, because than they have a knowledge how to write.
