The spellbinding book the Alchemist of Paulo Coelho is a novel which was originally written in Portuguese, in 1998.
The content of the book is amazingly inspiring by its simplicity and wisdom was after all translated into 56 languages.
The novel discusses about a shepherd boy, from Andalusia whose name is Santiago. .
He is gasping for discovering the world and its treasures .Therefore, he decides to make a journey to the Egyptian dessert in order to find a treasure buried in the Pyramids.
Most of the chapters are devoted to the main plot in which the main character comes up against various, interesting people during his exciting travel.
Attention is also paid to the encounter with an elderly person – the Alchemist.
The Chapter 4 focuses on the meeting with the lone Alchemist who explicates him what the most greatest treasure in our lives is – find where your heart belongs (…).He emphasizes also that people want to find only the treasure of their Personal Legends but not the Personal Legend itself.
In spite of many problems which he encounters on his long journey, he never gives up and believes that his dream will come true.
The story of Santiago is an eternal testament to the transforming power of our dreams and the importance of listening to our hearts.
The last chapter of this novel concludes that you will achieve what you want as long as you have a genuine desire to get it.
Furthermore, The main motto of the book points out that impossible is nothing, but you must want it and you must try to achieve it yourself.
