The importance of proficient in English nowadays is not even worth of mentioning.
I always was the only person in my family who was good at languages.
So once the day came when they had to face with all the problems, which the language barrier brings.
That’s why teaching my parents and my sibling was a very necessary step, which we had to undertake.
Gradually, their families and friends joined our lessons so I had a lot of unpaid practice, which I really enjoyed.
I started to think more and more about career of ESL teacher.
My first step was participating in an AIESEC internship program.
I went to Czech Republic where I used to work with secondary school students.
That was a priceless experience whereby I achieved lots of results.
After coming back I decided to try myself in working with children.
It seemed like gamble to me because I really know what chaos can a group of children cause.
Besides, it worked!
Children love me and their English level really increases from day to day.
So now I want to try myself again with the adult audience but I feel the lack of necessary qualification for that.
I want to know more about methodologies that could be used.
Furthermore, It’s crucially important to see some points in the way I work, which I’ve never noticed before.
I want to know what should I improve because sometimes we aren’t able to see our mistakes exactly because they are ours.
I’ve heard a lot about professional CELTA tutors so, indeed, I think they are people who could tell me what am I doing wrong.
I have a very strong feeling that my life is gently but confidently leading me on the ESL teacher way.
Overall, what I need is lots of theory, hours of practice, qualified feedbacks.
So accordingly to information I’ve found, CELTA course is exactly what I was looking for.
