This essay intends to shed light on the well-known topic of how people use different means to achieve success in their lives.

Amongst other items, knowledge acquired during the studying and internships period and connections with different people are key in this objective.

For a start, if we aim to reach a nice labour position at a company, it is obvious that is not only our academic background that matters, but also our ´soft skills`, which include interpersonal relationships.

Thus, is important to meet people whose contact can guide us to that higher position we aim for via a promotion.

Although it may help knowing different people according to each goal we have in mind in order to reach those targets, it is not fair to put those contacts ahead the knowledge we have gained during years.

From my viewpoint, we always have to reward those who have excelled by using their brains during their tough path.

Nevertheless, not all situations are the same.

In fact, in most of the fashion industry sections, regardless the formal formation you may have no-one reaches a high-level charge without meeting influent people somehow.

Summing up, the best choice to all of us is to keep in mind that it is better to balance these to features.

It’s essential in our nowadays world to make contacts so as to succeed in all areas; yet, our knowledge should be the basis in this life project and a guarantee that we shall get what we aim for.
