Review The Book "The Doll"
- I have read a novel which title is "The Doll ".
- It was written by the famous Polish writer Boleslaw Prus.
- This year I am preparing for my entrance exam of English so I have to read this book.
- The novel is set in Poland in Warsaw.
- Ignacy Rzecki is writing a diary about his life and about life, thoughts and feelings of his friend and the main character Wokulski.
- The plot in the book is very complex.
- Rzecki narrates about the biggest problem - the big Wokulski's love feelings to Isabelle, who doesn't love him and who manipulate him.
- There are a lot of different destinies of city-mans whose have an influence on the behavior or feelings of Wokulski.
- At the end of the novel Wokulski wanted to kill himself of tragic love but he is rescued and nobody know what happens with him.
- I loved this book!
- When I have read a blurb I was thinking that it will be a boring hopeless novel.
- But I was engrossed in a book!
- I'm was impressed of the main character, how I understood him and I hate a heroine because she was cruel, selfish and disdainful.
- The author also regards to the details of Warsaw architecture, people's mentality.
- The behavior of friends and enemies of Wokulski make to think about your own life.
- Wokulski is a personification of romantic person, who want to change the world and believe in people and their possibilities.
- In my opinion " The Doll" is a gripping novel and it is worth reading due to its philosophy values.
- The novel evokes moments of remarkable thoughts and unforgettable emotions.
- This book is psychologically convincing and it is interesting to observe reactions and gossips of characters.
