I liked the book and the film, because in the book are described in more detail the feelings and thoughts of the characters.
A more detailed history.
The film also removed some things not quite important and interesting to the Viewer, cut some long conversations which, in General, the reader sometimes skips in the book.
I really liked the game actors, very emotional and mental.
Unfortunately, I first saw the movie, and even though it's been quite a long time ago, while reading a book in my head were the actors from the movie and excerpts from the film
