Since I am a member of polyglot club, I had improved my written and spoken english and I am proud of myself.
But I have to learn even more.
Above all, I met a friend who lives in USA.
That's a kind and intelligent person.
Often, we share messages and talks on line.
He talks or writes to me in french and I answer him in english.
A least once he talks in english but I didn't understand all that he said because he talks so quickly.
He talks about his country and his history.
He describes the political situation and the way of life of the people, their difficulties to pay the hospital's invoices if they are ill and don't work.
There isn't disease's insurrance in this case.
It's hard for them.
Everytime he talks about the weather.
He gets tired it's always cold and cloudy.
He wait the sun comes back anxiouly.
One day I asked him if there is racial segregation in his country.
He said me it was real a thousand years ago because the jim cow laws.
Black and white people had to live separately everywhere in the public places (scholl, restaurants, offices...).
It was abrogated in 1965. Fortunatly.
