Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?

All students should be required to study art and music in secondary school.

Use specific reasons to support your answer.

Learning is an essential element for students of all different ages.

Secondary school is one of the most important time for the students development to profound their basic knowledge.

There are some people who believe that all the students must take art and music classes, others argue that it is not important for all the students to to take music and art classes.

In my opinion, music and art should not imposed on all the students to take them for two reasons.

Firstly, learning about art and music in secondary school is nothing but a waste of time for the majority of the students, instead of putting lot of time on these classes, it would be better for them to take more fundamental classes such as mathematic, chemistry and science.

These are truly time worth it to spend on them.

For example, when I was attending secondary school in Batna, 8 years ago, I took a class in music.

The teacher used to explain to take us through history of the music and how the scales were introduced, and the achievement of bithoven that he made in this field even though that he lost his hearing on the age of forty.

I didn't not benefit from all the topics were introduced, and I wish If had taken another like physic, it would had been an investement for me.

Through time I would definitely need all the aspects that I would learn in this classes, especially in high school and university.

As you can see, music and art are not big deal for students to take in secondary school, but rather it would be considered a waste of times and efforts.

Secondly, there are students who consider art and music boring classes to take.

It would be unfair to force them to learn things which they have no passion towards.

Whereas, they can be more productive in classes such as science and biology and it would be a shame if they did not take advantage on their time to learn more about them.

For instance, I had a friend who had studied in a different secondrary school that I was attending before he moved to my high school that I was studying in.

When I opened the discussion with him on his desires for learning about classes, he replied that engineering is an impeccable field for him to take and focus all of his efforts on.

He argued that when we go to work, we would not be asked about what things on music or art, but rather we would more concerned with helping the lives of people by designing safe houses and departement, by enhancing the gases that cars use in order to protect the envirnoment and people's health.

To conclude, study is vital for the students' brains in order to keep them thrive and flourish.

There are variety of classes offered in different stages of learning.

Some people like that students should take classes in art and music, others prefer going into other classes.

I believe that students should not be forced to take classes in art and music because not only would they find them boring, but also they would waste their times and efforts while studying them.
