At the corner of the street, you’ll discover a turret and walls being 1.20 meters thick in some places.Then, pass by the Ecomuseum of the « Forge »(=blacksmith shop) and with little luck you may hear the steady song of the blacksmith’s hammer.

Right next the blacksmith shop ,there’s a vaulted passage that connects Barri Street with Basse Street.

On your right, the current medical center was a defensive work being part of the town’s wall of 1691.An other wall can be easily imaginated replacing the present supermarket © .

At the former « Porte de Savoie (=Savoie’s Door) now destroyed, Barri Street intersects with Seyne’s main street.8 Stepping into the street between the two coffees, you’ll find an other bastion which became the « maison forestière »(= forestry worker's house)(B) which still has its medieval style .The ONF (=Forestry Commission) has recently leave the house .Our stroll n°1 is ending once you’re back in the main street.

Yet, keep walking until you get at n°17 « Grande Rue » Street where was standing the medieval wall’s second door also called The « Porte St Pierre »(=St pierre’s Door) .
