  • UGRA state museum of art

  • Ugra State Museum of Art established in 19th of November, 2010 by the Government of Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug.
  • Ugra State Museum united two famous Siberian art galleries - Gennady Raishev Studio Gallery and House museum of Vladimir Igoshev.
  • Later on, 1st of July, 2011 State Museum became funds and arts collection's heritor of Ugra Generations Fund, which are represented by the most famous masters of the Russian art-painting: Rokotov, Tropinin, Repin, Aivazovskiy, Surikov, Kustodiev, Serov and other masters' artworks.
  • The main building of Ugra State Museum was built in 2005 under the guidance of lead Russian architect Vladimir Kolosnitsyn.
  • The design features Russian Classicism style, that represents the spirit and substance of collection, named "Nothern Tretyakov Gallery".
  • The genesis of wide and rich museum collection of Russian art was started in 1996 with the artworks of Rokotov, Tropinin, Repin, Aivazovskiy, Surikov, Levitan and other famed masters of Russian visual arts.
  • Today, the Museum’s branches evolving collection contains more than 4 thousands works.
  • The collection includes an ever-expanding range of visual expression, including painting, drawing, sculpture and decorative art, represented with expositions variety of genres and subjects.
  • Ugra State Museum of Art permanent collection subdivided to two main segments: Secular Art of 18th - 20th centuries and Icon-Painting of 15th - 20th centuries.
  • Secular Art of 18th - 20th centuries Secular art of 18th - 20th century segment shows Russian School of Painting history from its formation and discovers the evolution of Russian fine arts through the centuries.
  • The visitors have opportunity to explore artworks of Russian artists from different generations known all over the world.
  • The collection includes landscapes, portraits, historical and other masterpieces of the greatest Russian artists.
  • The collection of 18th century contains two famous artworks.
  • The first one is "Portrait Prince SV Gagarin" (1760-1770) by famous Russian portraitist Fyodor Rokotov.
  • The second is "Portrait of Peter the Great" by unknown artist.
  • The first half of 19th century remarkable by such significant artists as Orest Kiprenskiy («Old Man's Portrait», end of 1820' – early 1830') and Vasily Tropinin («Lace Making, 1830').
  • Realism genre artists of the second half of 19th century represented by the masterpieces of Ilya Repin, Nikolai Nevrev, Nikolai Yaroshenko.
  • The museum collection provides an opportunity to evaluate the diversity of Russian landscape genre traditionalists.
  • Exhibition contains two masterpieces of world's famous seascape painter Ivan Aivazovsky ("Seaside View", 1850-60', "Constantinople by Night", 1886), epic landscape by Nikolai Dubovskoy ("Motherland", 1892), lyrical representation of Russia's midland landscapes by Alexei Savrasov, Ivan Shishkin and Isaac Levitan.
  • The first half of 20th century represented by canvas of Filipp Malyavin, David Burliuk, Kuzma Petrov-Vodkin, Boris Kustodiev, Konstantin Korovin, Léon Bakst, Pavel Kuznetsov and the others.
  • Icon-Painting of 15th - 20th centuries Icon painting collection of Ugra State Museum of Art provides further insight into the history of icon painting in Russia from 15th till 19th century.
  • The heritage of iconic masterpieces consist of outstanding artworks from the main Russian schools of icon painting: Yaroslavl, Rostov, Vologda and the Vladimir-Suzdalian school (Palekh and Mstera).
