  • In the evenings he worked on books at libraries.
  • He understood his talent would not develop without learning History and Literature.
  • He would prefer any another way of his life to sitting up late at nights in libraries. There were so many books which worthed reading to the future writer.
  • Ray couldnt not to write.
  • Having managed with newspapers selling, he stayed alone and sat at the table at once.
  • He wrote stories and sent them to magazines.
  • He got negative responses again and again but it did not stop him.
  • He felt his talent and belived in himself.
  • Besides, he gave himself the word that he would write not less than one story a week and he did it for a long time.
  • Later Ray explained to his readers that the main thing was to write what you felt.
  • And that was true, it was his style of writing.
  • In 1942 Ray stopped selling newspapers and started to make money by Literature labour.
  • He wrote one story a week as it was earlier- 52 stories a year.
  • By this time his talent had turned him into a real professional writer.
  • In 1946 he met a young shop-assistant Margarite Marklure at one of book shops of San-Fransisco.
  • He had fallen in love with her and after a year he got married to her.

  • The first one was not successful but it did not prevent him from writing others.
  • In 1950 «The Martian Chronicles» had been published and after this in 1953 his famous novel «Fahreinheit 451» followed.
  • These two books made him be successful all over the world.
  • For all the questions of journalists, how he could create such a fantastic world, the writer said one had to be a person with a child inside.
  • In all the books Ray examined his characters in different ways.
  • He set them in front of a choice doing kind things or evil ones.
  • The choice could be possible only for alive creatures but impossible for robots.
  • Bredberry was sure that on the one hand, the conflict did not stop fighting between brightness and beauty in any person, one the other hand, it continued between darkness and horror.
  • As a matter of fact, it was the very conflict between the truth which brought a person freedom and a lie which turned him into a slave.
  • The best characters in Rays books certainly chose the truth, kindness and love in any fantastic situations.
  • It made Rays fantastic work be so realistic and humane.
