Hello,
I’m going to talk about the notion of myths and heroes.
To begin with, I would like to give a definition of the notion:
For me, the myth is a traditional story that represents a country’s culture.
For example, in the America, it is an American’s dream.
The hero plays the role of myths.
Besides, heroes are person who are admired for their courage, outstanding qualities and their bravery.
People like him because they integrate myths.
These are legends because they had stand against society’s problems or they had overcome obstacles.
There is different categories of heroes:
A national hero (for example: Sportsman and frightening)
A fictions hero (for example: superhero)
A role model (for example: Actor TV)
A defender of common value (for example: Human Rights Defender)
It is my framework for answer to my problematic: When can we consider that a person is a hero?
Do heroes have limits?
How the heroes are incorporated into the myths?
First, I’m going to speak about a national hero.
Sportsmen are heroes because they try to succeed to break records.
For example, Usain Bolt is an impressive hero because he holds world’s records of hundred metres in 9 s 58, two hundred metres in 19 s 19 and four hundred times in 36 s 84.
It is legendary.
Thanks to these performances, the people nickname him “Lightning Bolt”.
Besides, frightening are heroes because they risk one’s life for save people’s life.
Next, I’m going to speak about a fictions hero.
Superheroes are heroes because they had an extraordinary’s powers.
They are part of myths.
For example, Ulysse is a hero from the Grece antique because he had fought against the cyclops.
It is a myth because the cyclops don’t exist.
For the children, Superman is a hero because he has powers.
He can climb in the wall because of spider’s webs.
Besides, I’m going to speak about a role model.
Actors TV are heroes because they change the course of history with film which inscribe sometimes in myths.
For example, The love’s history of a titanic is a myth in the real context.
The protagonist is famous because the myth is a success for spectators.
To finish with, I’m going to speak about a defender of common value.
For example, Martin Luther king had stand against a racial discrimination in the American between black and white.
Or again Nelson Mandela had stand against a racial discrimination in the African.
A film dedicated to him: Invictus, with actor Morgan Freeman.
To conclude, we can consider a hero if he has qualities outstanding and if the people like him.
For to be a hero, he must be to stand up for values and to be the best.
However, there is a limit when we are a hero.
Because there is an anti-hero: For example, Oscar Pistorius is an anti-hero because he had killed her wife and Lance Armstrong was doped.
