  • G.Maupassant is one of the most talented French writer.
  • He is best known as a master of the short stories.
  • His stories are based on human lives and destinies and social forces in disillusioned and often pessimistic terms.
  • One of his products is a stoy with pessimistic title - "A Humble Drama".
  • The author's communicative aim of this story is to aouse in us a feeling of regret to parents, whose children forget about them and a feeling of anxiety for such relatives and the huge chasm of misunderstanding that has aisen between them.
  • The Theme of this story is family relationships.
  • The author aises different acute problems between parents and their children: for example, a problem of misunderstanding, a problem of bitter loneleness, a problem of children's upbringing and so on.
  • It shows us all pain and gief as human feelings.
