On this day, even before struggling I won !
This race had already been laid out in my spirit ; each bend ; each uneven terrain taken as a consideration.
Like you already know the result of the dice even before you throw it, it was just like, the beginning ; the middle ; and the end of the race was all on the same level, frozen in time.
Not for a second did I have an ounce of doubt of what was about to happen, not for a moment did a moments hesitation cross my mind.
The 75 others participants was for me only a simple figure like others, there could be 75 000 and that wouldn't mean anymore than the added zeros.
It was at the end that I knew, it was not a matter of amount of people or wich athlete whatever ability had he would then be and should be satisfied anyway with second place.
Because in this crazy story it is not in competing on equal terms, what they contributed with their bodies, I contributed with my spirit.
The physical effort that was going to be necessary with all the distress caused from homeostasis was only a secondary consideration, the physical strength has been reduced to a mere formality : the only compulsory way to complete the purpose.
The process once it is operating, each entity there was no other choice that preceded me, minute by minute.
No elements of surprise for me ; I knew what was going to happen in advance.
On this day, I was 14, I was in 4th year of Middle School and I won the Middle School's Cross-Country.
I knew later on that a large part of my opponents were stronger than me and that it was physically impossible for me to win.
But I ignored it, so I won...
