Synthesis Social Networks.

During all this year we have been studying the notion of progress.

I’d like to state a definition of progress.

Progress is the idea that the world and the society can evolve in therms of sciences, technology, modernization, living condition, etc. But today we get interested on technological progress ; more precisely by way of social networks.

However, SoNet site are still debate between those who consider that it’s beneficial and those for whom it’s harmful.

In this way I propose we loot at a question ; « Is the notion of progress necessarly synonymous with improvment ?

So in the first place we get itterested on the description of Social Networks then we see pors and cons about it and finally what are the solucion of cons.

1 Description Social network.

-SN are becoming more and more popular in daily life.

-They appeare in 1990.

-Boom in 2004 with facebook.

→ the most important.

It make evolve our society.

There are 1,55 billion of inscriptions.

2 Pros and cons.

A) Adventages (T1).

-Comunication on line / in live freely quickly.

- Make metting : new friends / find long-lost friend.

- Access to the whole world : news / meet virtually a new culture … - « New country » → mean to flee that is less than perfect in real life.

But couldn't this loop-hole lead to an imprisonment in a virtual life ? B) Cons.

-Real life not to be confused with virtual life.

-Keep control and not begin addict.

- Private life : you can't delete something.

→ personal information can be used against you and lead to cyberbulling.

-Cyberbulling is a drama problem of SN.

→ topical issue which affect predominantly teenager. → testimony. 3 Solution.

A) Solution on cyberbulling : - there is a key role of the entourage.

If someone are victim of cyberbullying he have to speak about it.

-There are a lot of assiciative site which propose some help to victims « beatbullying.org » .

B)Shouldn't be addict.

-Raise awarness among users that it isn't the real life.

→ (T1) « not to be taken as an alternative to life - iperfections, disappointments, ugliness, and all » the journalist.

To conclude we can say that social networking site have progressed but I think they have to improve about security.

In fact they are a fabulous tool but it may be dangerous on influenced people.
