  • Carnaval

  • I have dressed up for Carnival many times, but what I like the most about it is to see others wearing their costumes in the "mogollones".
  • There is people who really put lots of work in their costumes and they look great!
  • But as time goes by you may start noticing that ,who looked gorgeous in their home-made dress at 6:30 p.m., at ten o'clock have already passed out and lied down on their own puke puddle (God bless alcohol).
  • Nevertheless, we can give some kind of allegorical meaning to this phenomenon: No matter how much pretty your look, nothing endure endlessly.
  • In the best of the cases, in the last hours of your carnival life, you may still keep your friends by your side mocking you in an amiable way.
  • How simple and insignificant we are, aren't we?
  • "Up and down" and "up and down" again, without purpose beyond the mere act of living.
  • As Celia Cruz would say: "Life's a Carnival".
  • It is both, sad and beautiful.
  • In Brazil, people have a name for this feeling which is "saudade".
  • Such a deep untranslatable word can be defined as “Good you suffer for and wrong you enjoy from”.
  • This feeling is very well expressed in this famous song, hope you enjoy it, and think about all this.
