  • My first work experience

  • It is generally known it’s difficult to find work if you have no experience, so I decided to serve an apprenticeship now – when I’m in the junior high school.
  • I want to work as a teacher and I thought it was the best idea to begin my career by helping in an elementary school.
  • My duties were simple: all week I had to work in the common room.
  • I quickly realized the children I had to teach weren’t the best pupils – I had to work hard to help them actually.
  • Every day I was doing their homework with them, we were making flashcards and I showed them my favourite memory aids.
  • It was very motivating when I saw it brought results and they improved their notes!
  • But not only they learned something during that week.
  • It was also a very important lesson for me.
  • I learned how to work with children from an elementary school and how to help them easily memorise informations – I’m sure it will be useful for me when I start to work as a teacher.
  • What is more, I have now an experience which employers pay attention to while they look for workers.
  • To conclude, I would like to encourage you to serve an apprenticeship when you are still students.
  • It is widely known that if you want to get a job easily, you should show your future boss you are an hard-working person and you started your career as early as possible.
