Henry Ford was an American industrialist of the 20th century, a pioneer in the automotive sector and Founder of the Ford Motor Compagny.

He was always passionate about mechanics and it is on leaving school, he makes his first steam engine.

At first we will see Henry Ford is a hero.

He became a hero thanks to the construction of the Ford Model T.

The production of the Ford Model T began in Piquette Road Manufacturing Plant on 1 October 1908.

It is generally regarded as the first car available to the grastest number, the one that "put America on wheels".

Henry Ford has been very innovativr in the manufacture of the Model T: assembly chain, proportional wage price of the car for the workers so that they themselves provide or guaranted market.

The model T was declared the most important car of the 20th century after an international survey.

Henry Ford induces a new method of work: the assembly line.

With this innovation, the construction time of the Ford T is greatly reduced: it goes from 6:00 to 1:30.

The productivity of the plant is multiplied by 4.

The worker is now static and assembes the parts that pass before him, Fordism was born.

The success of the Ford model is linked to two symbolic ingredients; the Ford T and factory the River Rouge that produced it.

It is in this factory that raw materials were presented to the assembly line for finished cars in out.

For example the Charlie Chaplin Model Time film denounces Fordism.

He denounces the hierarchy and the division of work.

In this film, the workers are compared to sheep.

They have trouble keeping the speed of the chain and performs the same action more quickly.

In the end Charlie goes mad and is swallowed and digested by the machine that trumps human.

Finally, we will see that Henry Ford is an anti-hero.

Indeed, by the early 1930s, Henry Ford would have financed the nazi party and pays 000 each year on the anniversary of Hitler.

It produces vehicles for Wehrmacht but also for the US army.

In 1930, Henry Ford receives Grand Cross of the German Eagle.

This is the highest Nazi decoration for foreigners.

Ford seems anti-semitic and does not hesitate to say that the Jews declared the first world war.

Ford published many articles wich will be gathered in his book "The International Jew".

In this book, he presents the Jew as a "germ" that must be "cleansed".
