Since the script was not finished and we did not know much about our characters yet, it felt a bit up in the air at the beginning.

During this time we started fancying what our roles could have been like and broadly designing our outfits.

When Matias delivered the script, it felt incredible, we could finally work seriously on it.

The director already had an idea of who was going to perform each role in the play, and they fitted us as a glove.

We really enjoyed the process of building these new personalities.

With a good mixture of self-introspection and feedback from each other, we ended up understanding deeply our characters and creating for them the outfits that better match their personalities.

Thanks to the good communication that we had, in the rehearsals, we would analyse the script together, correct each other’s pronunciation and intonation, and help each other with our acting skills.

Each meeting was a blast, we would alternate hard working and laughter, creating a relaxed environment in which we could let our imagination run wild.

Many great ideas suddenly emerged in these rehearsals, as an example: At first, we were going to sing “Drunken Sailor” until someone joked about how much fun would be to sing “Wannabe” by the Spice girls and, the rest is history.

Although we had some mishaps such as: people getting sick and rehearsing in tiny study classes, we made the most of those hours together.

From the day before the performance, you could tell we were getting exponentially nervous, especially because we had never practiced in the actual stage.

Even though we were nervous and we had some accidents on stage, it surprised me how well we coped with these little problems as a team.

I consider this performance to be a success, a positive experience which have bring us closer together as a group.

The smiles on our classmates’ faces made all the time we put into this play worth it.
