- It brought together National Liberation movements of Africa, Asia and Latin America.
- The Tricontinental Conference took place in Havana from 3 to 14 January 1966.
- 82 countries gathered together to discuss the struggle against imperialism, colonialism and neocolonialism.
- As a result of the meeting a new organization was found.
