  • Space and Exchange

  • First of all I would like to give a definition of «Exchange».
  • It’s a continuous movement or circulation, including all type of exchanges : people, trade or media.
  • A society can be approached from the point of view of its cohesion and openness, which raises questions about its place in the world.
  • The geography of commercial channels and networks of influence, but also the discovery and conquest of new land constitute new cultural areas which often transcend the borders of a States.
  • The border which limit two spaces will sometimes seen as a protection against the other or otherwise the opening to a larger space.
  • The space can evolve and take different forms.
  • One of the most sacred places in all of the Buddhist religion is Bodhgaya.
  • Indeed, It was at this location 2,500 years ago that a young Prince Siddhartha sat under a fig tree, meditated and found enlightenment, thus becoming the Buddha.
  • Nowadays, in this little town everybodoy, whatever his or here culture can find a warm welcome.
  • This point is very important, because the buddhism is so much more than a simple religion : it is a whole culture, philosophy, way of life, that is based on acceptation and respect of each life being.
  • The mainstay of Buddhism is prusuit of the truth, it suggests to try meditate and think about life etc..
  • So when visitors come at Bodhgaya they can encounter community of buddhists monks and exchange with them and share their stories and experiences.
  • These are their simplicity and their authenticity wich are rewarding : they might bring you a new vision of life, that you were not expect.
  • In many ways, travel broadens the mind, and allows you to find something new.
  • According to me, travellers hobnob with a lot of people who belong to different cultures, who have a different way of living, which show them how many worlds are coexisting.
  • Otherwise, travel is a way to challenge yourself because you have the time that you don't have in your usual dailylife, to think.
  • It is an opportunity to know yourself better, be more tolerante, and release yourself from society's hold.
  • This is the reason why differences that you encounter when you travel are rewarding : they lead you to reconsider the wholde world.
