The article I’d like to render is entitled “The image of the modern teacher” which is written possible by one of professional teachers at a pedagogical forum.

The author reveals some drawbacks of image of a teacher because of it’s a teacher can’t be a respectable one by students.

The author’s communicative aim is to make teachers reconsider their attitude to their behavior, style, a manner of teaching and communication with pupils and give some advice for them how to increase the authority on this professional sphere and to think over the image.

In this article the author touches upon several problems of education such as: a problem of pedagogical development, a psychological problem, a motivation problem for the teacher and so on.

The article opens with some rhetorical questions of how the teacher sees himself and that he needs to make to receive respect of the director and pupils.

In two following paragraphs the author proclaims that image first of all consciously or is subconsciously thought out by the person.

Secondly, he can see behavior, style in clothes in mass media.

And in the third, surrounding people, for example employees, pupils and the family can also influence image of the teacher.

The author wants to make the teacher understand that he always is in the center of attention and he needs to look always good and ponder over that a style is the powerful instrument of forming of the relations with people especially with young ones.

In the next paragraphs the author wants to make the teacher think of other qualities which will influence an image too such as voice, memory, charm and personal attitude towards pupils.

Speaking about a voice, the author of article criticizes too low voice of the teacher which can become the noise reason in a class, proclaims that too loud voice can irritate, and monotonous can tire.

The author takes up a firm attitude that a teacher should remember every name of his pupils and he mocks at such situation when a teacher forgets names of his pupils.

To tell the truths, it looks very strange and won't cause respect.

Also, the author proclaims that the teacher allocating favorites in a class it isn't worthy respect.

The author of article devotes the last paragraph to charm as to one of important indicators of good image of the teacher.

Charm will help to find a common language with pupils and will create the positive relation of people around.

I share the author’s opinion that paying attention to above-mentioned criteria and observing it, the teacher will reach an ideal image of the modern teacher.
